Romans 8:35 (NKJV)
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?...”
Unlike the Blues Brothers, the apostle Paul learned from extremely difficult experiences that he could completely rely on the Lord. He did not simply hope that nothing could separate him from a God-sized mission, he lived out this conviction, born from life experience. As a result, he became confident and able to face whatever came his way, one step at a time, growing daily in faith. This was a process.
Romans 8:37 says, “Yet in all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
The Lord is always with us; His Word is always true. The better we know Him, the more we recognize this truth. Jesus will provide for our every need because He knows every aspect of the mission. He sees and knows all things and reveals His truths to His children.
Hebrews 13:5-6 says, “…For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you now forsake you.’ So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’”
Jeremiah 18:6
“’O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?’ says the Lord. ‘Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.”
The Lord is the ultimate authority; His power has no limits. He is the creator who chooses to mold us as He sees fit and always has the best for His creation. Just as Paul did, there are times when one may feel inadequate and unworthy, but Jesus is always there…always willing to love, to forgive, to equip, and to direct. Where the Lord sends His children on a mission, there His presence, His power, and His love will be. He holds His children in His hands. Our purpose is to fulfill that for which we were designed and created (Gen 1:26).
Now, put on those sunglasses, buckle up, and praise the Lord; you’re on a mission from God!
